Summertime, and the livin' is easy

I spent two weeks at school every day working on my room, cleaning, finding stuff, organizing my files, and now, even if it's not the greatest room in the school, at least it is MY room and I know where everything is. I intend to spend time this summer revising my procedures and getting ready for next year. My dream - and I know it's a pipe dream - is to be able to have everything I need for a lesson ready ahead of time so I don't have to spend hours upon hours planning and making stuff during the year. I may get some of it done.
I have several kids in summer school, and to a one, they have been in to speak to me, to hug me and chat. I am floored. I really hope they all pass. All they really needed was to get out of that disasterous environment and start concentrating.
As for me, I am knitting grocery bags so I can stop taking the plastic WalMart bags, and I have rediscovered the wonders of the library, which is only about four miles from my house. I've been through about ten books in the last two weeks, and I didn't even have to pay for them!
